Support The Port Foundation, Inc, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, & The Community Boys & Girls Club Inc. Presents: Community Alumni Clean Up

(Wilmington, NC) July 16th, 2016 - Support The Port Foundation Inc., Community Boys & Girls Club(CBGC), and Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, will host a Community Alumni Clean Up for the Community Boys & Girls Club located at 906 Fanning St from 8:00am to 11am. The Community Alumni Cleanup is conducted and supported by concerned and proud citizens and organizations of Wilmington and have a strong passion for youth and the Community Boys & Girls Club.

Citizens and organizations are invited to come out to help improve the environment that local children grow up and play in. Programs like the Community Boys & Girls Club have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of kids around Wilmington. Support the Port’s Founder Cedric Harrison was a former member of CBGC in Wilmington and in an effort to demonstrate his commitment to youth leadership and development as well as to show appreciation of the service and mentorship given by the organization is leading the way to organize improvements to the 906 Fanning St center.  This event will include free food and drinks provided for all volunteers by the Community Boys & Girls Club’s own Chef Tony. This community cleanup is also supported in partnership with Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity. Other organizations are also sought to partner by way of donating time, cleaning equipment and supplies, or monetary contributions to help purchase items, as well as to hire a landscaping company for ongoing maintenance.
